We chart our beginnings from the time our founder,
Ben Weitzman, left Philadelphia and established Mohawk Dental in
Utica, New York. The date was 1916. He traveled by train and built a
following among the dentists within the Mohawk Valley communities of
upstate New York. |

Mohawk Dental continues to be family-owned and is now
a 3rd generation business headquartered in Syracuse, New York and
servicing primarily the Upstate New York area. We owe our
success to the support of our customers and, consequently, their
success is our primary concern. We strive to reach our customers
through all avenues that our customers find beneficial. Our Flyers
and Catalog were developed for this reason and to better communicate
the options available in the supply and equipment areas. Our
reliance on territory sales representatives is the best way to
assist our customers with their daily needs. And now, with the
design and development of our web site, we continue to reach out
through technology to our customer base. As the needs of our
customers have changed over the years, we have attempted to provide
a greater wealth of value-added services. The management of time
through product and technology is increasing as a need, and the
guidance we make available, as solution providers, will be an
increasingly important part of the mix. |

As we complete our 86th year, we still subscribe to
the traditional view of a full service distributor. We have pursued
this direction to become the only stocking dealer in many of our
current markets. We are long standing members of both the American
Dental Trade Association and the American Dental Cooperative and
maintain a tradition of giving our services to the industry. The
Cooperative connection we maintain with ADC, an essential ingredient
in our expectations of the future, insures our ability to stay
competitive. |

What makes us different from our competitors is our
commitment to value-added services and our local presence with the
inventory position we maintain. We believe that success is achieved
only through excellent customer service. We strive for excellence by
maintaining high product fill rates and by consistently trying to
improve those rates. Additionally, we believe excellence is achieved
through constant attention to details. It is the details that our
customers remember and it is the management of our fill rates as
well as other operational details that allow us to be efficient and
profitable. And, we believe, it is our family business orientation
that allows us the flexibility to strive for both. |
